Kenya’s U17 Starlets Qualify for the Soccer World Cup
Kenya’s U17 Starlets have made history! The Soccer girls are the first Kenyan team to qualify for the FIFA U17 World Cup. No Kenyan soccer team has ever gone to a World Cup, male or female.

This landmark achievement was sealed after a decisive victory against Burundi in Nairobi, propelling Kenya to the international soccer stage.
The Road to Qualification
Kenya’s junior Starlets soccer team secured their place in the World Cup by defeating Burundi with an aggregate score of 5-0. The first leg saw the Junior Starlets take a commanding 3-0 lead in Addis Ababa.
The return leg, played at the Ulinzi Sports Complex in Nairobi, ended in a 2-0 victory for the Kenya’s U17 Starlets.
.Marion Serenge opened the scoring in the 17th minute, capitalizing on a defensive error from Burundi.
Valerie Nekesa doubled the lead with a well-timed strike, ensuring Kenya’s U17 Starlets dominance.
