The Emerging Stars, Kenya’s national team, emerged as 2-0 victors in their final Group B match of the 2024 COSAFA Cup against Zimbabwe at Isaac Wolfson Stadium. The first half ended with no goals, but the second half saw a shift in momentum.

In the 54th minute, Ronney Onyango found Austine Odhiambo, who scored the first goal, giving Kenya the lead. Benson Omalla added another goal in the 73rd minute, capitalizing on a long ball from goalkeeper Byrne Omondi. The match ended in favor of Kenya, with a 2-0 scoreline.

With this win, Kenya finished Group B with 6 points, tied with Comoros. However, Comoros topped the group on goal difference, advancing to the semi-finals as Group B winners.
